Pictures

Finally a decent day and was able to take pictures of my new hot rod and put 50 miles on it. Drives great and pulls strong my only concern is that on a 60 degree day it wanted to run at 210 degrees and above 200 degrees some pinging set in run 93 octane unleaded. Car has new aluminum radiator and hose and stuff look new, going to have to check timing and see if this is a tuning issue or if the 4:11 rear end is just putting too much stress on the cooling system while cruising. This problem is going to have to be resolved by next spring. Well anyhow here are the pics.

If it's running that hot, check your thermostat first. Then check your timing. Nice looking ride - enjoy driving it.

Beautiful car. What are the wheel and tire sizes? It looks like the rear tires and wheels are wider. That's the way I plan to set up my car.

wheels and tires

275/60/15 rears, 225/70/15 fronts, 15” Rally II wheels gives the car a little rake and more aggresive stance matches the rumble nicely

Very nice '69 442. I love the color and the interior. The body side stripe, I don't care for. They are not original to a '69 and just to wide going over the wheel wells. otherwise just a great looking car. Is it the 400 engine or a 455 ?

Currently original 400 with mild cam Edelbrock intake and carb and H.E.I. distributor. Would like to put this motor in the garage and build a healthy 455, but that is down the list after a overdrive and gear change and an original console and shifter.

Very Nice, It depresses and encourages me. Depressed because mine is so, so far from looking that good, encouraged because I know mine can look that good.

Well it looks like your getting the hardest part done......collecting all the peices I see lots of new sheet metal. I guess I feel very lucky to be able to buy a 90% car and finish up the last 10% to suit me although I am now looking for one to restore since I have one to drive. Good luck and enjoy the work.
