Oldsmobile 98 newbie

Hello,

I am Tim. I own a 1966 Oldmobile 98 LS . I live in the Netherlands.
I got my 98 for 11 years now.
Great car but i have some issues with finding some parts so that's why i joint this forum. Maybe some of you Oldsmobile enthusiasts can hook me up!
I guess i will post a thread in the "parts wanted" section on this forum next.

Ninety Eight pics

Hi,

Here some pictures of my Ninety Eight like i promised. Still did not find the pictures i was looking for so i hope you all will settle for these for now.

Here some history on me and the 98 if anybody is interested......

Since i first saw a car as a small kid i was hooked. When i was about 12 years old i got my first copy of a Belgium magazine Chroom en Vlammen. It was the Belgium equivalent of Hotrod magazine.
After i got my license i had several (cheaper) cars also some european classics like a VW bug, Citroen Ami 8 and a Fiat 128 sport coupe.
After a few years of driving around i decided that i had to save my money for a proper car.
I knew some people at a local American classic car dealer and would hang out there on Saturdays. They got some fresh car from California in that week and i was checking them out in the showroom. They bought all sort of cars that time, but the Olds did it for me. A nice black plate original car (except for the paint of course)
I like the fast cars and coupes but the big cruiser cars are the best. Just drive slow and relaxed everywhere with the traffic jam behind you
I did not have the money yet but business was slow so i thought it would be there for a while. The next week the car was sold to somebody else.....
That was a bummer...
Luckily the guy how bought it did not understand a classic car, he was used to his new BMW where everything worked like it should. He even ran out of gas and blamed the car. In a few weeks he was tired of the car and wanted to get rid of it.
So that's when i bought it for much less then the original price.
I have owned the car since 2001 and rebuilded the suspension, brakes, transmission and the engine.
Now it needs paint and a new vinyl roof.
The reason i got on this forum is that i am looking for a lower control arm because it broke of. It happened at low speed so no further damage to the car.

Tim
