Old Marine Newbie
Old Marine Newbie
Retired from the Marine Corps in 71 and have owned several Oldsmobiles over the years, including a 442 and an SX(oh, to have kept'em). Recently bought a 63 Dynamic 88 convertible. I've worked on cars for about 40 years and 5 or 6 years ago, I painted this car for a friend of mine, but he never finished it. Thought it deserved finishing, so I've got it now and I will probably need help from you guys in finding some of the parts I'm gonna need.
Thank you for your many years of service to our country. Congrats on the car and with your experience I know it will be a great car. Now, did anybody mention pictures. We have to see pictures before we let you know the secret handshake.
Welcome.
Welcome.
Newbie Welcome
Thanks a lot to all for the "welcome aboard" replies. I'm a member of couple of other forums and they could definitely take lessons from you guys on how to make a person feel like they belong. I will get a picture posted when I can get it moved from the dark hole it's in now. Also, I'm just barely computer literate, so posting might be a problem, but will get it done.
Semper Fi, Mac!
Like you, I am both a Marine and an Olds owner. In fact, at one time I even owned a '63 Olds Dynamic 88 convertible. Loved the lines of the car; clean and simple. No matter what anyone says to the contrary, the 394 engine is a hauler. Enjoy her!
