Old Magazines

First I'd like to say I have been reading these threads for quite sometime and there is a lot of fantastic information here helping me with my '64 Cutlass project. What pushed me to join was I began collecting some of the old drag magazines and was wondering if anyone could help me with issues featuring the Brainbeau Olds cars 1965-1967 and the Berejik Olds cars 1968-1971. Thanks in advance

Check with Tweed on here. I'm pretty sure he will have what you are looking to find. If not, he can steer you in the right direction.

Welcome to CO.
I'm sure "Tweed" has all the info you need.

Thanks

I recently started collecting period literature to broaden my scope a little further, and since this forum has been a wealth of information in many of my Cutlass projects, figured this would be a great source for reference.

The 66 Brainbeau is featured in I believe the April 67 issue of Super Stock and Drag illustrated magazine. The 67 car is in American Rodding magazine but at the moment the issue escapes me. It has a big guitar car on the cover. These issues can often be found on Ebay.

Thanks Oldsmaniac, I have the January 1967 Super Stock and June 1968 American Rodding, also September 1970 Super Stock, but I know there are other magazines. Hi Performance Cars featured the Brainbeau car just not sure what issues, was also told that the '68 Berejik car was in Super Stock.

Picture of my '64s

Added requested picture of my projects. The Pontiac is currently undergoing paint and interior. Eventually the Cutlass will get a powertrain freshening.

I'm guessing you haven't been to the Magazine Archive at Wild About Cars?
Check out the the Digital Automotive Magazine Collection here:
http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-b...0391350594.cgi

We've come a long way, but have an even longer way to go. We are, however, making good progress! This is an unprecedented undertaking. Surprisingly, *none* of the publisher have many, if any, of their back issues, even in paper form.
Good chance you'll hear more about this in the future.

And yes, one of the pieces you're looking for is already there!
