Just wanted to say hi to this great group.
I recently bought a 64 olds dynamic convertible...1 owner with 50k and all original.
never realized Olds were so different from Chevy and Gm.
Finding out fast however

I have a pair of 64 Starfires and several other 64 owners here too.
How's your rear bumper? If not rotted thru at the brackets you're already ahead of the game.
Also recommend getting the 5 volume set 1964 Olds factory shop manuals. They'll help you and anyone you hire to service the car. I can guarantee the first mechanic you try to get to service the car will look at you like you just arrived from Mars. If you farm out the oil change, they'll need a 1/2" ratchet to remove and reinstall the drain plug. Though there's a special tool made for the job.

Just zoomed the pics and can see just how well-kept and nice this D88 is. Even down to the maroon factory floormats which are usually trashed after 56 years. This is a low-option car, typical of how most were produced back then. That means simple to maintain and service- or as simple to maintain as an early-60s Olds can be!
Great color combination too. As boring as new cars are in white, this has just enough chrome to make it pop and red interior really sets it off. New cars with depressing gray guts are horrible.
Great pic of your lady in a sundress sitting in the car too. Looks very 60s!

Wire caps look good on all 64 88 and Cutlass. They just "work" with the lines of the cars. I used to dislike the standard 64 full wheel covers this car has- until I saw an NOS set on one at Nationals.
After years of washing and road wear, the black paint in the concentric rings and the red in the Rocket fade and the cap looks cheap. Then you see one as it was meant to look and it's like wow! And this car's caps are way above average, so you see that even the "standard" wheelcover looked upscale.
