Cool Newbie in Southeastern PA.

Hello Folks,

I picked up a '66 Cutlass convertible a few weeks ago and look forward to working on her over the Winter. She needs floor pans and the typical chrome parts. Your forums seem very informative and I plan to learn a lot more about the car.

I will post some pics and inquiries in the appropriate threads.

Larry

Welcome!!
looks nice I am a bit surprised it needs floor pans from that pic does it run ? The front end looks a bit high could just need new rear springs

There are a few members that sell mostly 66/67 parts good luck and remember to have fun.

Cool Thanks for the thread replys and the welcome guys

Thanks for the cowl tag decoding, i do apreciate your help! All of the cowl identifications pan out, the only thing changed from original is the white convertible top. Oldstata, you noticed the front end reaching for the sky. The one of the previous owners replaced the shocks and used big block springs as he was preparing for a transplant. She runs and drives fine, though I am considering upgrading to a 455, adding some fronts disks and a 12 bolt rear.

I bought the car as a cruiser to put down the top and enjoy with my wife and daughter. My original intention was to leave the car original though a 455 would certainly be a tempting. A friend of mine runs a boneyard and has a '67 442 with all of the required components (the 455 is apparently a '69).

Rroth01, did you notice that the 985-B trim doesn't show up on the typical trim cut sheets?
