Greetings, people... want to give a quick "Hi" from the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain and say how excited I am about just buying (but not taking possession yet) of a '64 SF conv't.
Some of you probably have seen it if you're doing any on-line Olds shopping in the last few months, specifically on Auto Trader Classics. I'm buying it sight-unseen, so I'm sure there will be a few minor surprises, but hopefully nothing earth shaking. I'm going to open a thread about the acquisition in "Other Oldsmobiles" if anybody cares to follow.
I'm going to be actively looking for some cruise & show venues in my neck of the woods, too.... but I look forward to sharing car notes with this community in the future!

Thanks, guys and gals, for the welcome and well wishes.... and no, Jamesbo.... absolutely no lagniappe! Pretty stark, actually.... car is lacking in documentation; it's changed hands 3 times in 2 years, and is even missing its jack and spare! Pretty much has a owner's manual -- period.(Anybody have a lead on an original jack and spare?

Jack's are around but pricy IMHO plus they aren't worth a Tinker's Hurray.

Just get a small floor jack at the autopart store. Bumper jacks are dangerous, Most of us have them just for the sake of being origional, not to actually use.
Jack, etc.
Yeah, I'm an originality freak, so I want a complete, original trunk; I'd never use the jack (under normal circumstances).
I have a link to the car in my post this morning in the "Other Oldsmobiles" forum; here it is in AutoTrader Classics
I'd appreciate your critique in that other thread...
Best,
John

Thanks to all for the welcome's.... Yeah, Oldsguy, the white/blue/blue might actually be the way I'd have ordered it from the factory... that's worth a lot in my book. I like 'em all, but some of the colors of the 60s are downright ugly, IMHO. But to each his (and her) own.
Y'all keep an eye out for my jack !
