Newbie from the Poconos, Pennsylvania
Hello,
My name is Chris and I am new to Classic Oldsmobile. I am the proud owner of a 1967 Olds Delmont 88 restoration project.
Thanks for letting me on board and I'm looking forward to exchanging stories and technical information.

Thanks and glad to be here! After posting a request for a 425 or 455 engine or block there has already been several replies. There is at least one that sounds like a good deal and it was nice to actually have a phone number and be able to talk to the person for details--someone who, like all of us on this site, has a shared interest in the restoration of old Oldsmobiles!
The availability of technical information is also nice. I now know that the old 425s have an odd lifter angle and you have to be careful to get the appropriate camshaft. Although I was an ASE-certified automotive technician in the 1980's I didn't know that. It could have made for a bad day after installing the wrong camshaft!
I'll post pictures as soon as I figure out how to do so....

Looking forward to see pics of your car. 1967 is my 2nd favorite year of the real sized Oldsmobiles (with 1973 being #1). I have a '67 Ninety-Eight LS but would love to have a Delmont or Delta...especially a 2 or 4-door hardtop.
