Newbie from Ohio
Hey there my name is Drew and after some searching, i just got my hands on a 1966 Toronado Deluxe. I've been waiting some time to find the right one that is a project but is not a rust bucket. Its all original and numbers on the block and heads are correct to the car. Im sure i will be talking to many of you because i have no clue on how things operate on these cars. It does run and drive(barely). I am excited about this car though, I've always wanted an Toronado. My friends think it looks like the batmobile but all i see is a well designed good lookin car!

Welcome Drew. It does kind of look like a newer Batmobile. Just shows how far ahead the design of the car was that 40 some years later, it looks like a "new" car. Looks like it has a lot of potential!
Welcome Bat Buckeye.
The car looks real good, not bat at all.
Not messed with much and that's always good.
I would do something about the fuel line to the carb. I see a badly crimped copper line and rubber hose with clamps, all not good.
Is that hose even connecting the carb and fuel pump line pieces together right now? Hard to see in the pic.
If you decide to leave it like that at least pick up a fire extinguisher.
You should always carry one in the car in any case.
Did the Toronado have a side inlet carb and a piece of hard line in the heater hose fellow Classic Oldsters?
Or does that only apply to the Batonado???

Haha i have no idea what the guy was thinking with that heater hose. And your eyes did not deceive you, that copper fuel line is crimped and the o ring is shot and leaking. Plus the old Quadra-junk need rebuilt or replaced.
Thank you all! I was specifically looking for a 66-67 toro and wouldnt have found it if it wasnt for searching "project" on craigslist. The guy put tornado and so when i was searching toronado nothing much was coming up.
