Welcome

Welcome to our site.

I think that you would need to replace those front springs if they are the stock from '83.

Yah- you should put a heavier-rate spring in for a 455. Just remember that when you ask for 455 springs for a G-body car, everyone is gonna tell you they can't get anything like that. Eibach may have something that will work if you don't mind dropping a couple inches of height.

Check over on oldspower.com . They're hard and heavy into G-body and several guys over there have done this swap and can tell you what you'll need.

And your point is? There ARE other Oldsmobiles besides 66-72 A-bodies, ya know.
