Newbie from the Netherlands

Hello,

i´am Pieter from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, a newbie at this forum and in the world of Oldsmobile, i went from several Chevrolet´s and a couple of Pontiac´s to my first Oldsmobile, a 71 Cutlass Holiday Coupé.

Some pics;

The engine is a 455, with a TH 350 transmission and a 3.73.

A you can see, the previous owner has done some things, new exhaust with flowmasters, new manifold, carb and headers and a B&M shifter with a shift kit.

I have a lot of plans with this car, the interior is gonna be changed in racing style with other seat´s, the backseat will be replaced by a steel plate so we can put in a racing fuel tank in the trunk. The brakes will be upgraded to a 4 disc brake system.

But first i need to find inner fenders for the front and a new trunk lid, unfortunnaly, in the Netherlands these parts aren´t very easy to find.

Hope you´ll enjoy the pics and i´ll post some picture´s of the re building of the car now and then!

Greetings from Holland!

Pieter,

Welcome to CO! Looks like a nice solid car, congrats on your new ride. What wheels do you want to put on it?

Thanks Darrel,

the car is a good base for what i want to do with it, the previous owner has down a lot of work with the chassis, the subframe and the engine, the body needs some work and i want have a new paint job when al the technical stuff is done.

i´m not quit sure about the wheels, i saw on the CO forum a picture of 17 or 18 inch Torq Trust under an Cutlass coupé and that´s the look i want to have on mine to.

But first the brake update, when you have nice big open wheels you don´t want to look at some drums ;-)
