Hi guys,
I'm Chris from Germany, 32 years old and i work for the German railways. I've wanted all my life an American car. For daily driving i use a Mercedes W211. 4 years ago I fulfilled my dream and bought an old 1984 Delta 88 for 8000€ (9688$). The car was in miserable condition, completely messed up. All moldings have been removed, the electrics no longer worked, the bumpers were pushed in because the fillers were missing, the engine was not running properly and the transmission was leaking. The only good thing was, the car had not much rust and was repainted with a BMW color in Germany. Bit by bit I renewed a lot, repaired the gearbox, got the engine running again, replaced the carburetor, got new bumpers with fillers, repaired the electrics and installed rims from a Pontiac Trans Am GTA. Lowered the car with springs from Hotchkis (impala SS) I did everything on the car myself. According to Carfax, the car comes from near Austin Texas and was exported to Germany in 1994. 2017 2020
Welcome to the group... Good to hear you are able to own an American car, especially an Oldsmobile... Plenty of information available here if you need any assistance...
I already know some of the german guys here personally or from Instagram. There are many Box Caprice in Germany but you can't find many deltas. I would estimate 20-50 all over Germany. Thank you!! yeah the GTA rims looks great in combination with the lowering, love them!!
