Hello all, I'm new to this site and recently purchased a 1970 cutlass convertible
that i had shipped. Horrified I was for 2 weeks until it arrived.

The internet buying experience can be very scary, It still better than the old days
of driving for hours just to turn around after seeing the car you thought
was in excellent condition.

Dave, from Connecticut.

Olds

Thank you all for the nice responses. I still have to figure
out how to use all the formats of this site.

I was looking into some production history of my car
with a 3 speed manual on the floor (M14 option).

Any one have a source I could contact?

Dave

Welcome aboard again I had to do a little digging to find this thread from your profile page since I am not as active on here as I used to be. Anyway hopefully someone will chime in on some production #'s if they are available with transmission breakdowns for the '70 Cutlass Supreme droptop. If not a new thread in the general discussion forum should bring an answer.

Dave I found your answer.

M14 - manual 3 speed for 4200 model (Cutlass Supreme) was 166 or 0.3%

Oops This is through June of '71 for the '71 model year and for all Cutlass Supreme models so this is not what you are looking for. I'll keep digging...

You're quite welcome Dave. I believe the info you seek is out there. It's just getting the attention of those in the know. Most records of this type typically go through June of a given model year, so the few cars that are produced after that aren't counted. Typically a model year goes from August - July, so say the 1970 model year began August of 1969 and ran through July of 1970. This leaves time to make changes and retool the machines as needed to gear up for a new model year. I think the latest build I've seen is the 2nd or 3rd week of July and the earliest being the 2nd week of August. Hopefully someone will chime in with the '70 Cutlass Supreme Convertible production numbers with the M14 3 speed.
