My son is wanting a mild 350 sbc/t5 setup. I'm trying to talk him to keeping it Olds powered (403)(efi) and maybe t56 with 3.42/3.73 gears but the motors are scarce in my area. Eventually it'll be painted something similar to stock, maybe the newer GM blue green crystal. He wants some factory rallye wheels so that's a plus. Still a lil over 2 years to get the details together but work has already started.

Welcome, guess this time you won't get rid of her again, 3rd times a charm. Congrats.

I'm sure if you check out the parts for sale section, you'll be able to find an Olds motor for your project.

You're right about the 3rd time is a charm. He is excited about it, as am I first him. I'm in the process of dropping a drive train into my 82 Malibu wagon so that gives me a lil more time to keep him thinking about an all Olds car. I'm definitely keeping an eye out for a 350 or 403.

Welcome from another Tennessean, check out Car-part.com.It's where most mechanic and car dealers get their parts. Most junkyards closest to your zip code area will list parts there, coded by mileage and condition and give price or you can call.
There's a "307 " listed at $500 in "A" condition in Tennessee.(Dayton) I believe.
Best of luck. Larry

86 Supreme, a member named "Ashtray"just posted that he is pulling a good "350" and will be replacing with a non Olds engine and transmission. His post starts out Forum Forgive me.you may want to check and see where he lives. If you want one close to home check Bobby White Motors or Tucker Auto Salvage (Terry)in Lewisburg. They are both honest, I have bought many parts from them both, through the years and Bobby will install it if you want him to. Larry Jones
