Newbie 66 Toro owner needs help
Hey there! Just bought a 66 Toro at an auction. Decent car, just needs a little TLC. Wondering if anyone has an owners manual. I have the Service books. QUESTION: My lights go up, first drivers side then pass side, but when I turn off the lights it takes awhile for them to close. Is this normal?

Well, welcome to the forum!
I'd love to see some pics of your Toro. These are fantastic cars that are funto look at and drive much more modernly than their age may imply. As for your headlights, they are vacuum operated and over time the hoses and vacuum resevior diagram breakdowns causing leaks and that is typically the main cause of headlights that function at different rates. You could spray a lubricant on the moving mechanical parts of the headlight mechanisms to see if that frees things up a bit. Also, be sure to exercise those headlights from time-to-time to keep them working properly. If not, you may find yourself tugging on that headlight bucket in the dark one night to get it to pop up. But, from the factory, they were slow to operate whether going up or down. In fact there were road tests from the time these were new cars that commented on how slow and long the headlight operation took.
