Recently found this site from another member. He was on my website and told me about this one. It's really good. I got my Starfire from the original owners, my neighbors, 2 years ago. It had been parked for 25 years. I love driving it around so much that I sold my Mopar. I am being converted to an Olds guy.

I sold my Duster. It was like the one I had in high school. I also had a 69 Cuda that I used to bracket race with a 440 six pack.

You are right. Once you drive a convertible, you don't go back, unless it starts to rain. Then a hardtop is better as they don't leak as bad.

Thanks for the praises. Your cars are awesome too. I have read some of your posts and they are interesting and helpful. I hope that I can help some fellow Starfire owners as well. This website seems to be an excellent source of information and different opinions and that is helpful in the preservation of our old cars.

I wouldn't underestimate the conversion power of Oldsmobiles

That's Ok you can still like Mopars even after you've fallen in love with Oldsmobiles ,it's like an old girlfriend you stopped dating cuz you found someone else ya like better!LOL

There are no comparissons between Mopars and Oldsmobiles. The 2 are fully different concepts. Just like choosing between an Italian wife and a Swedish one. The Italian will kill you, because she cooks too good and you'll likely suffer cardio-vascular ailments, while weighing 400 lbs.
The Swedish one will bear you blonde kids. But, she'll be prone to be out and abouts strolling through shopping malls and enjoying her freedom. With her, you're likely stay thin. But, you'll spend much less time with your hobby. Because you'll be left to look after the kids more.
There's no better pizza delivery car than a 1965 Barracuda slant 6, because it'll be thrifty and you'll have a large area for your hot box.
But, if you happen to get invited to a wedding, there's no match for an elegant Oldsmobile, for stepping out of it wearing your tuxedo

 

Oldsmobile owners also have a great sense of humour to go with their great looking cars.
