Newbie with 1969 Delta
Hello Oldsmobile enthusiasts,
I am currently located in Maryland and I have in my possession a 1969 Oldsmobile Delta 88. I really had reservation about purchasing this car, since I have always been crazy about the Pontiac SS and thought that would be the car for me. However, after driving my toy and doing some research on the make and model of my new toy, I became fascinated and hooked on olds’. I lost the desire for the Pontiac SS. I am crazy about my rocket and I want to do everything in my power to fix her up, this and the history of the car are my reasons for wanting to become a member. I hope to learn and get plenty of help from all you on the best approach of restoring a Oldsmobile’s to also include things that I should look out for that plagues Oldsmobile’s especially Dealt 88s’. My goal is not to get it show room ready, since I want to enjoy driving the car and not worry about if a stone chipped the paint. However, I do want to restore it to show its magnificence features from 1969. I am excited to be member!

This is my 1969 Delta 88. I would like to but a pair of 20" rims and some tires on her... anyone have any suggestion? I need to change the oil...I was told to put in synthetic oil due to the high mileage...is this correct?
