Hello,
We are in Ontario and own a GMC Motorhome that has the Toronado drive train with 403 engine. After reading about the Toronado I've become interested in the design and style, its a great looking car. One day after the RV I will be looking for one. We renamed our RV Bullitt as even with the smaller engine she's pretty quick, last year we drove thru the Rockies and she climbed every mountain no issues. Some complain the 403 isn't strong enough but as I say for a Motorhome she's fast enough. No one passes me unless their full throttle and trying hard not to be passed by a couch, fridge and two grinning vacationers

Welcome to CO. That looks a lot like the EM-50 from Stripes.

Finally done, she had head gasket failure warped heads ect. My mech builds hot rods and believes the previous owner that worked on the engine had little experience but a lot of determination. One thing he was happy to see was PO was when he scoped the bottom of the blocked he found an extra gear was installed, not sure what he meant or the benifit but would like to know!

Runs great and will start travelling across the continent next year.

An extra gear for what? Did they install a gear drive in place of the timing chain?
