New from Tennessee

In the process of restoring my wife's favorite car. She has a 1990 Cutlass Supreme International Edition that she bought new. Car has sat for several years and is run down. The big problem is, it is not old enough to be a classic, to old to find some parts from normal sources. This ain't gonna be easy.

Depending on the part, most mechanical parts are available at your local autoparts store.

Welcome.

Word to the wise: age alone doesn't make it a classic.

to old to find some parts from normal sources
What, exactly, have you had difficulty finding? I'm guessing you'll find mechanical parts (engine, drivetrain, brakes, suspension, etc.), as oldcutlass says, pretty easy to get at your local auto parts store or certainly online at places like rockauto.

You're right in that the places that cater to the old Oldsmobile hobby (Fusick, Kanter, USA Parts Supply) won't have things for it now, if they ever will.

The first parts issue was sunroof seal, still have not found replacement. Also having issue with matching leather for upholstry. I hope that you are right and mechanical parts won't be as hard to find. I will need ECM and multiple sensors.
