New to the site, from NC
Hey guys/gals I'm a newbee to this site, and I like what I see so far. There seems to be a lot of great info here and members who are willing to help out where they can.
Anyway, I have a 65 F-85 post that I'll be posting pics of soon. I've had a few Oldsmobile's in the past, i.e. 78 Cutlass, 80 Cutlass and a beautiful 93 W41 SCX (not classics I know, but they were/still cool to me).
I spent my early childhood riding around in my Dad's 2 65 442's (along with some other GM muscle) in So-Cal in the street sceen. Think "Big Willie" days. Yeah I was young then , but it sticks with you lol. My job was to push the button! I spent alot of my teenage years riding around in my buddies 71 & 72 Cutlass's.
To be honest, I know alot more about Chevy's than Oldsmobile's so bear with me while I fire away with the Olds related questions.
Lookin' forward to making a few new friends here, as I have made some great friends on another GM related forum.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Maybe I can get a few pics of it today at the cruise-in.
I am currently trying to figure out a driveability problem. The car runs great wherever you go. But if there is not a long enough cool down period (more than 30-40 minutes) before your next trip, it runs like crap. Sometimes it will not start/idle, and other times it will idle at 2,000rpm and die when put into gear. If you can get it running, it takes a minute or so to clear up. It has a "Stage 2" Quadrajet from the carb shop on a Torker intake. I'm thinking maybe the carb body has a crack in it between the body and base plate? I've heard that the Quadrajets have been known to crack and leak fuel and/or air causing problems. I have run many Quadrajets in the past and have never seen one crack or had these same symptoms. Has anyone else had these same issues?

Thanks guys!
gearheads78, I thought I recognized your screen name from MR.com. The bu has come a long way, here she is now with a recent T5 swap and needing some paint.
