New to olds

I've never been a car guy, closest thing I have ever had to a muscle car was my 82 ford flat bed.

My son however loves the mid 80's cars. Especially the hurst, grandprix, monte, and regals.

I stumbled across a 83 hurst, pretty rough, but striaght and interior could be worse. Paint is rough and it runs rough, but it does stop good

Anyway, before I make a purchace I figured I would be wise to read up on the car. I basically have done a crash course last several hrs reading up on the 83's and their potential.

I actually like the 307 from what I've read. I dont want a car thats blistering fast for my son. As he matures he can spend his cash on a bigger power plant if he chooses.

I just want his 1st ride to be one he loves and takes pride in.

I will be on here alot if we end up getting it, but right now I'm still
debating, its a little past my budget righ now.

Thanks,
Paul

Cool! I like that year. A lot of the members like the potential of that engine. I've grown up with Chevys, and am only appreciating Old's power now!
