Good looking ride, I like the color and that you've kept it looking stock. Do you know what plant it was built at? The VIN will tell you that, and so will the cowl tag.

I couldn't quite read the cowl tag. Looks like a black interior. Nice to see whoever repainted it did the faux louvers properly. They didn't line up the stone shield right though, it looks like it has about a 1/2" gap to the headlight filler panels.

Nice car. I had the same thing back in the day. Loved that car. Power timing and true duals really helped performance.

According to this your car was built in Lansing so absolutely no chance of finding a build sheet in it. The Cutlass S standard engine was the L32 350 2bbl rocket V8. Rated at 160 hp, standard rear axle is code SA - 2.73:1

What it does say though:
ST72 - 1972 model year production
3 - Oldsmobile division of GM
36 - Model: Cutlass
87 - Body Style: 2 door hardtop
LAN - Body assembled at LANSING FISHER BODY WORKS. This is separate from final production.
BDY 389630 - Body number assigned by Lan FBW
TRM 949 - Saddle Themed interior (naugahyde)
PNT 63 A - Lower body color Saddle Bronze, upper White vinyl (option C08)
02C - Time build date as FBW. This car body was assembled in the 3rd week of Feb 1972.
A52 - Split front bench seat
B80 - Drip scalp moldings (rain gutter)

The front seat upper and lower has obviously been reupholstered. Note the stitch channels are flat, unlike the deep ridge channels of the rear seat.

Noted the obvious options
A01 Tinted glass (includes front windshield)
B84 - Body side moldings (standard with the Cutlass S)
C60 - Manual 4 season AC
D35 - Sport mirrors
J50 (J52) - Power brakes (52 is disc brake)
M38 - TH350 Transmission (upgrade from standard 3sp manual column shift)
N33 - Tilt Steering Wheel
N47 - Variable ratio Power Steering
N66 Super stock wheels
U63 - Deluxe AM radio (replaced with aftermarket)

The Oldsmobile lettering on the left rear of the deck lid is from 1978 and on. These cars typically had a dealer name plate there. The Cutlass script on the trunk is correct. Be sure to finish off the striping from the deck lid to the quarter panel. The striping is not correct for the time build, but looks just fine. You have a very nice looking car. I hope it's as much fun to drive as it looks.
