new and novice

Have a '67 442 that I bought that year (although I wasn't the first owner--some mother bought new to placate teenage boy, then decided it wasn't good for either the boy or her budget). My first car out of college. It's in pretty decent shape, but I'd like to do a little cleaning up here and there. This is a new venture for me and I need to find a source for some parts. I've seen Fusick mentioned on one of the threads, but has anyone used USA Parts Supply out of West Virginia? If so, what's your experience--good, bad, average, indifferent . . . . ?

i have bought parts from the following companies, all positive experiences:

Year One
Original Parts Group
Tamraz
Mondello Performance ($$$$$ but all hard to find custom parts)
Brothers Automotive
Classic Car Parts Giant

I'm sure there are others, but these are the most thorough. i put the $$$$ near mondello because they fabricate all there parts pretty much from scratch and are very expensive. for example, they have fully polished aluminum pulley systems and accessory brackets for 330-455...v-belt style & serpentine...but it will run you $1200+. hope this helps.

Welcome. I have used Fusick's on several occusions and cannot say enough good about them. I bought my interior from Tamraz about 15-16 years ago and have been pleased. I have heard complaints about a couple of the others that I won't name since I have no experience with them and probably won't. I know that several folks have used Legendary Interiors and liked them.

Welcome to the site!

I have not used USA parts supply so I cannot comment on them. I have used Fusick's, The Parts Place and Brothers Automotive and been happy with the products and helpful advice. Hope that helps.

Parts Place messed up 3 of 4 orders for me. They must have had morons picking parts for shipping.

Welcome to CO. Let's see some pics

As for parts suppliers, I have been happy with

Legendary Interiors
Year One
Fusick
OPGI
Rock Auto
The Parts Place

IF I had a problem with any of them, it was handled correctly.

Most of them offer the same parts(ie manufacturer) so shop around on the price and look for the sales.

Also keep an eye on the "parts for sale" and ask in the "parts wanted" section, I've picked up some great items from folks on this board.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress

Thanks everyone

I really appreaciate the warm welcome and feedback on parts suppliers.

I'm not sure how to post pics. Probably don't even have digital pictures . . . I'm still shooting slides! If I figure out how to use wife's digital camera and how to post, i'll lay a picture or two on you. Actually, car looks a lot like Gearhead's, except mine is a '67 and hardtop.

Welcome

I used USA Parts Supply, had a little trouble with shipping but eventually got an NOS and a new repo muffler hanger for a 442, totally different designs, too bad I have a Vista Cruiser.
Bubba in shipping lost the order, their words, not mine.
They have a lot of hard to find mechanical pars, if you need one piston they're the place.
I've never heard anything good about Brothers until now.
