Hello, I joined this community because I love Oldsmobile's and I also want to positively contribute to the discussions when I can. My first car was a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 convertible which I bought new in 1970. I used to race the car and won several trophies and set two track records. Not bad for a stock car. I used to wash the car and keep it spotless. I loved driving the car with the top down. I also enjoyed disassembling and then reassembling the engine. I stressed when I brought my car in for warranty work and watched as the service advisor took an imprint of my protect-o-plate.
And fun! I remember taking my car for the first ride. I am a non smoker. I took my then girlfriend with me with the top down when she flicked her cigarette into the back seat. Fortunately, no damage. My car became a non smoking car on it's very first ride.
I look forward to helping when I can. I have posted twice and hopefully they will help. I want to positively contribute to this community. Unfortunately, I can't upload a picture of my car. It's sold. I made a mistake.
