I have 2 1962 Olds F-85s, 1 Convertable, 1 Coupe. The Convertable is restored (after 8 years) and been on the road about 2 months. The coupe will arrive September 30th. At which time the restoration will begin. Glad there is a forum that we can pass info around.

Welcome aboard CO, love the F 85's. and as you already know they are probably the hardest to restore of the 60 era cars because of the lack of support in after market parts. It's good to see a couple being saved. When you get a chance post a few pictures, we love pictures...Lost in the fifties ...Tedd

The term "F-85" is often used interchangeably with "Cutlass," and the F-85 as separate from Cutlass was actually offered through 1970 or thereabouts.

The F-85, Cutlass, and Jetfire were all the same car with different trim and engine options. The mechanical and sheet metal parts are identical and interchange for the most part, overlooking differences in chrome trim. The F-85 nameplate was used on the A-body well into the 1970s and was reintroduced as a low-end version of the Omega in the late 1970s.

Thanks for the encouragement. jaunty 75 and Joe-padavano, both are actually the Cutlass model. The convertible and the Coupe both have the 185 HP engine, The Convertible is automatic, the Coupe is factory 4 speed. I spent 8 years running down parts and totally restoring the Convertible. I hope the Coupe will not take so long. As to photos I will try to add some but my computer skills may not be that good, we will see.
