Hello all, I'm new on here and am trying to find a 73 Omega 2dr!!!! I had one back in the day, and kick myself everyday for gettng rid of it. I put in a 455 basic rebuild, turbo 350 rebuilt by a local company that rocked, and a posi 3:42 rear end. I want to recreate it but finish it this time. Never panted the old one! So did they ever put bucket seats in them? How about automatics with floor shifters? I will most likely put a B&M mega shifter in it, but if there was a stock floor shifter that would be cool too!!!!

Thanks Jon

Welcome to CO. I would say that since you have a pretty solid concept in your mind for the car you should do it that way regardless if it was originally that way. Of course there would be variables to consider, if the car was in a fully original condition and/or fully restored and wasn't set up that way maybe you should reconsider 'chopping' it up but if it would be just a run-of-the-mill fixer upper then go for it.

Welcome to the site Jon! What part of the country are you in? I'd keep a close eye on Craigslist and the cities within driving distance to you. You can also create a post under the Cars Wanted section. I don't know about bucket seats in 1973 but a few years ago I saw a 1976(ish?) with SX trim and I believe it had buckets. John
