New member, 1st Olds

Hello all!

New member to this forum, as this is my 1st Olds in a line of several classic cars that I've bought and sold over the years. This is the 1st one that I hope to keep long term, as it's mostly 'restored' (amatuer) but looks and drives nice for the most part with just a few little things being buttoned up by my hot rod mechanic. Here's what (I think) I know...

1969 Delta 88 Convertible
Rocket 455 motor, rebuilt with new cam, etc putting out about 500hp
Turbo 400 3-speed
New Dana posi-rear end
Newer interior and top; top works perfectly
PB, PS
Fairly bare-bones otherwise; crank windows, no A/C, etc.

Having my guy do a major tune-up as the carb and timing are way off and it floods out just driving it. Working on a new electric fuel pump (replacing one already there that puts out too much pressure), timing, and a couple other little things. Other than that, looking forward to summer and the mountains of Colorado!

Any other info that anyone can pass along to a new guy is surely appreciated!

Nice ride. White interiors always look really great on convertibles. The contrasting headrests are an interesting touch. Not original, but interesting nonetheless. I did something similar on a '95 Bonneville I had a few years back. It had a light gray interior and the sun visors were trashed so I found a pair of graphite colored ones out of a '96 LSS that were in great shape and gave me a dual visor system to boot. It actually looked pretty good and tied in with the graphite plastics.
