Hello all joined a little bit ago... just never got around to posting. Inherited my project from my late cousin. A 1967 Nintey-Eight. Will be posting in the technical forums soon... kind of at a loss with what's left. Glad to see the Olds community going strong and glad to be here. Good luck with all your projects everyone.
Fantastic car, absolutely enormous. And incredibly powerful. Lets put it this way, you know a vehicle is large when it is luxury orientated and its only two engine options are 365 HP or 375 HP. Measuring out to 223 inches long and weighing 4500 LBS. That length puts you among the largest car models this country has ever produced.
Welcome, Moody! Nice 98! Thanks for posting that the land yacht article 69CSHC!! nice read!! I had one of those "top 5" beasts. It was a triple black fully loaded '75 Regency 4 dr. It was one of my all time favorite cars!!
I owned the Delta 88 version of your car from 2009 until January of this year. When I had it repainted, I had it done in red. The yellow was just a little too much for me.
@Jaunty75 wow man that looks awesome.... I'm thinking more black with red pinstripes.... I need to get it road worthy first. Actually just about to go work on it now.
It would look good, but keep in mind that black is the worst color when it comes to showing dirt. Contrary to gut instinct, most "dirt" (soil, dust) is lighter, rather than darker, in color. That's why white cars always look clean no matter how dirty they are and black cars always look dirty no matter how clean they are.
Having said this, though, here's a good-looking '67 98 convertible in black. Keep it clean, and it will look good!

As the owner of 2 black cars I can attest to that. They often look grey and dusty unless you stay vigilantly on top of them.

Yes, the potentially over riding aspect of black is that it looks good on just about every car.
By the way that red looks great ! I'm not really a red car guy but it really pops vs the muted pastel like yellow.
