New to me 1972 Cutless convertible

New to me 1972 Cutlass convertible

Hi all. My name is Fred and my girlfriend and I just picked up the car yesterday, I have always wanted to restore a classic car. My girlfriend and I dug in to cleaning it and trying to u learn. Starting a list of to do’s but I need to find a trunk lid asap. Looking forward to chatting and learning from everyone. I’m in NJ. Are there any shows or anything si
ilar coming up? Thanks.

Welcome. Glad to help newcomers. You might want to take a look at the emblems on the fenders, however. There's no "E" in Cutlass.

Trunk Lid is 1971-1972" CONV ONLY" . will not fit from a hard top I don't believe. I've had the same 1971 Cutlass Conv since 971

Convertible and four door are the same trunklid, and there are three different lids for the 70-72 cars.

I believe you are correct. The previous owner advised me the the corners are rounded for the convertible and the hard top is square

And as I also said above, four door and convertible use the same trunklid. There's a reason why you see so many "convertible" trunklids for sale despite the small production numbers vs. coupes. 1970 will also work.
