New from Iowa,longtime OLDS lover!
I currently have a 72 Cutlass/442. 455 with TH400. Edelbrock intake and 750 Edelbrock carb, headers and mild cam. Sounds soooo sweet! Car runs pretty hard and no problems at mid or high RPM. As soon as I get in town at slower speed even for a few blocks, car loads up , smells real gassy. Mainly use car for cruising or take to all the local area shows. Wondering am I over carbed. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge on the car. Your thoughts????

I would hook up a vacuum gage to the manifold vacuum and monitor that.
If the timing allows the vacuum to suffer at low speeds, that affects the carb- it runs on vaccum- e.g. the power piston may rise and richen the mixture.
