New here from Long Island, NY
Hello, I recently bought a pretty nice 71 Delta 88 Royale Convertible, and I joined this site at the recommendation of a friend. When I learn how to post pictures, I will. It's sandlewood, a tan color, with a brown interior and a white top and SS IV rims, 455 2bbl with AC. I love the car, and I look forward to chatting with you.

Welcome to the site! I've got a 1971 Cutlass Wagon with the sandalwood exterior and it has Sienna for the interior. A reddish brown, kind of like cinnamon in color. Is that what color you have?
Look forward to seeing your photos.

Small world.
I was just looking at that online at a dealer the other day.
Do you know any of the history of that car ?.
Reason I ask :
I may have literally crossed paths with that car & gave the driver some compliments at a traffic light once down here in Florida.
Circa 2007-2009 I believe it was.
Not sure if the owner was a full time resident or a snowbird.
[forget what state plate(s) it had on it at the time]
While anything is certainly possible, that color combo + rare cornering lamps & rare SSIV's on a car that there are very few left of from 40+ years ago .....
I would lean towards that being the SAME car.
Always liked that car ...
Ya' done good.

Anything is possible. The previous owner, who I believe is the original owner, was from Jamaica, Queens. I never met them, but I'd like to. The dealer I got it from is in West Babylon, NY, called Hollywood Motors.

Nice looking Delta. The 71 Royales were very attractive. A friend of mine bought one new, a hardtop, Sienna with a black top and it had the same brown interior. It is called Briar. Hope you enjoy your new ride.

Thank you, and oh yes, a very good home. I'm curious about your 67 Delta Convertible, a friend of mine sold one in white about a year or so ago, I wonder if it's the same one.

Welcome to CO from another Long Islander. Looks like a really nice car, congrats! Hopefully I'll get to see it at a local show next year. There is an Olds show in Merrick in May of each year, hope you can make it.

Lookin good! Every time I saw it I wanted to polish all the chrome and aluminum trim.

Welcome from another Long Islander. I'm in Farmingville. Looks like you're in Lake Grove or Setauket from your pictures? I'm fairly new around here myself, but I'm starting a build thread for my 442 here soon. Nice car and hope to see you around!

I used to bring my Cadillac there, I will definitely try to make it to the dust off. That's my favorite show!

Welcome to the forum! That looks like a very clean 88, congrats and enjoy it! You have all winter to do whatever prepping and tuning you want before putting the top down in the spring and summer. Enjoy it!

There is 1 show a year that I'm sure to make, and the Spring Dust-off is it! Some day I'll actually have my Olds in any shape to make it there, no less show it
