New Guys From Western Idaho

My brother and I just purchased a 1957 Oldsmobile 98 two door hardtop. Nice car but had been partially disassembled. We got it running without any major problems (it is a J-2) but probably not factory. We are trying to decide what to do with the dash, repair the pad or remove and paint. It has air conditioning but not hooked up. Does anybody have a photo of the generator installed or of the generator brackets? We are trying to figure out how it is installed. Looking forward to getting it on the road and doing a little cruising.

Welcome form the left coast

Nice 98. The generator mounts to the passenger side exhaust manifold. The bracket is the length of the generator mounting holes at the bottom of the generator. I changed to a 455 a few years back and don't have pictures of the mounting bracket
