Welcome to the site. Excellent place for Oldsmobile help. I doubt there is a better Olds forum. When you get time post some pictures of your ride. We like pictures. BTW I spent 10 years, 72 to 82 in Upstate NY, far west of you in Chili. That is pronounced as you know "CheyeLie".

Have a safe year.

Welcome!! I am from Upstate New York also. I grew up in Brockport. Moved to southern Pa to stay employed and for better weather. Love the 78 Cutlass. Let's see some photos.

Hi all. Pleased to meet you. I will try to get pictures up.....They are pretty scary. though. I am second owner. The car came off an Native American Reservation. It has a little over 65000 miles. Can't look at the dash now, it is covered up and its 10 degrees in my garage. I taught my wife how to drive a standard on it. I have been into Pontiac Trans AMs. Still have 8 interiors of Trans ams in the attic. Ran into hard times and a friend, (no longer), begged me to let him buy it. Never let up on me. Finally I said yes. He took the car ( a solid original) and stripped all the chrome off of it took fenders and doors off. spray bombed it black. swapped out the doors...dont know why? The worse thing was he cut a sunroof into it. He went down the road and popped it open.... it tore off....HE PUT IT IN BACKWARDS. He never payed for it. Got it back NO TRIM or CHROME. I went to a yard and stripped a 78 got all but wheel well trim.
Parked it in the garage and Left it for the past 25 to 30 years. Left the windows down and used it for a shelf to stack Upholstery foam. Covered to the ceiling. ( I am an upholsterer.) Been one for 52 years. OK one fall a raccoon got in through a broken window that was blocked from view by the foam. Made way into the car and shat all over the red interior. That's my story

Welcome. I've found a lot of expertise is resident here and I keep learning a lot from them. Seems to be a little enclave of folks from central NY here. I'm just South of Syracuse.

Welcome, Lloyd,
You came to the right spot. Have a look at the classifieds here. Place a want-ad, (familiarize yourself with the ad rules).

Are you familiar with the Damascus Shrine Friday night cruise on Bay road? Hopefully, it's a go for 2021???
Cruise season usually begins at the end of May through mid-Sept. Food, full bar, cars, people n music, outstanding fish fry. 4-600 cars in n out on a good night.

Upholsterer, I assume means automotive?

Please post pictures of your unusual car with that stick polking through the floor. Done or not doesn't matter.
