You first need to remove the two trim panels on either side of the gauge cluster. Just pull them out carefully. There are 7 screws I believe in the IP surround, under the top and bottom lips. There are four screws that hold the gauge cluster to the substrate. Note that some of the screws only hold the clear plastic cover to the cluster. If you have cruise control, you need to disconnect the upper speedometer line from the modulator on the driver's wheel well liner, for slack. If you have a gear indicator on the gauge cluster, you also need to disconnect the index cable clipped to the steering column. To do this, remove the four screws and two bolts that hold the cover below the steering column and press the clip off of the steering column. When you pull the gauge cluster out, do it slowly and carefully. Make sure the gear indicator cable comes out of its hole, and also disconnect the ground cable connected to the speedometer cable. Then you'll need to disconnect the power line harness connected to the back of the gauge cluster with a small screw, and press the clip on the back of the speedometer to disconnect the speedo cable. That's it, you're done. Good luck finding a replacement needle, you may just need to repair it or find a replacement gauge cluster.
