New guy in Michigan Bot 76 Olds Cutlass

I'm enjoying a '76 Olds Cutlass Salon I bought at the Labor Day auction
in Auburn, Indiana a few weeks ago. What a fun car!

Thanks oldcutlass, it's nice to hang out with some old cutlasses.
I'm hoping they don't actually explode.

Thanks Eric! It's a lot of fun.

Best selling car in the U.S. in 1976 was the Cutlass. Buyers had
good taste back then.

Sure is a clean engine bay. That was a great find. It took me a few years to get mine looking half decent. Although my 76 was in rough shape when I got it . Do you have any plans for the car? Just keeping it stock?

Thanks for the comments, Eric. Below is the URL for the Auburn Auction for the 76 Olds I bought. I'm planning on preserving the car the way it is, and enjoy driving it occasionally when the weather is nice. It's a time capsule!

Sweet Cutlass! We walked around the auction park on Wednesday afternoon (before Labor Day) since it was free admission that day. I don't recall seeing your car there, it may have arrived after we were there (many cars were still rolling off trailers and getting parked under the tents). Regardless, a well preserved, and barely broken in example you have there. I live like 15 minutes from the auction park.

Welcome to CO and enjoy your new Cutlass!

Thanks Johnny! I had a bidder pass so I went to the Auburn auction Thursday and had a good chance to look the 76 Cutlass over pretty good before bidding on it Friday. I also had a chance to talk to the seller a few days before going to the auction. I might be prejudiced, but I think that Cutlass was the nicest car there for the money and I looked at them all.

Thanks dj! I admired a well-restored 76 Grand Prix at the
Onekama, Michigan car show last summer. What a beauty.
The owner and his wife were very proud of the car. He couldn't
discuss the cost of the restoration in front of his wife though.
