New cutlass owner in Philly

Bought a 70 cutlass convertible last week. Was hit in the front, while parked at the service station parking lot. The car had just passed inspection and was waiting to be picked up. So got a good deal, and will have to replace a couple parts.

Welcome to CO, Tom! Yep, someone else's bad luck sure turned out good for you, especially if it's just a "couple parts" fix!

Hmmmmmmm.

Whole things sounds a little suspicious to me. You just "happened" to come across a car that just "happened" to get hit while in the parking lot and you just "happened" to be able to get it for a great price and you just "happened" to have or know where to get the two parts it'll take to fix it? If it's so easy to fix, why didn't the service station or the car's owner fix it or get it fixed?

Are you sure that that wasn't your brother-in-law's service station and that he knew you had your eye on that car?

I think the fix was in!

Welcome to CO

Just goes to prove the point that people will do anything to own an Oldsmobile. All you have to do is have a plan..........................

This is all I have at the moment, it is a pic from the po. Because of the weather here it has been stuffed in my garage, which was not ready for another car. The bench seat came with the car. The seats that are in the car are crap.
