Unhappy New cali guy with a 63 dynamic 88

Picked up a dynamic 88 some months ago not running T the time. Rebuilt the car put a electric fuel pump and got it fired up. Bout a new stock fuel pump I'm going to put in soon. The bad. After getting it running i found that it over heats and that there is a crack in the timing chain cover. Also the right hea gasket is shot. Compression test checked out good. Think it has about 80000 miles. I have started my restorationonit but I've been reading on here Bout high compresson and low. I have no clue how to tell what it is. So I am goin to tell you what im doing to it beside motor work. Right now the car is in my buddys shop getting full air ride management system(accuair). It's laying full frame right now. I want to run side exhaust. I had bellflower exhaust on it and its so load and beastly. I am thinking flat blue with a heavy silver flake top. Full custom interior stereo. Rims I just want some clean looking 18s. I'm on my phone when I get a chance ill upload pictures

On the driver side head, below the valve cover and above the exhaust manifold in the center, you should find the engine number stamp. What is it? That will tell the type of engine.

Welcome to CO, sounds like some good plans for the car. Good luck, would love to see some pictures.
