Hello everyone,
New to the forum. Im in Cleveland Ohio and have a 1969 Hurst Olds.. Its a driver quality with about 70k miles. Work in progress with a new motor last year. One problem i have is once in a while in the summer i get that slow starter almost like the battery is dying but then it speeds up and starts. Only does it when hot..

Awsome car! You will have our attention real quick. Just sit back for responses.

Look over everything in the primary starting system. Your descripton is classic to bad connections. With that said, you might have a bad starter....or solenoid. Easy stuff to fix If your'e up to it.

Good grounds. Make sure the grounds from the engine to the cowl and battery are secure.

In 69, you're looking at higher compression . This might might lead us to "what is your timing at"? Todays fuel doesn't always lead to good HOT starts.

Thanks for joining up.

If your running a lot of initial timing your going to get that on hot days no matter what starter your using.
