New 1981 Delta 88 owner
Hey guys,
New to this forum but not new to loving Oldsmobiles! I just scored an '81 Delta 88 coupe, 74k original miles for $1200. It needs some loving care on the details but runs great! Story goes it was the first car ordered for a dealership here in Mass, and when it came in the dealership owner decided to keep it as a dealer demo....for 15 years!! Only owner is an older man, friend of the dealership owner who bought it in the late 1990s and just recently lost his license. It needs a new tail light as the old man backed into something, and the raised white letter tires and 1960s Pontiac hubcaps need to go (swap anyone??), but it's completely rust free which is rare for a northeast ride. Anyway, I'm glad to be here and hope to check in for advice! Here are the few pics I have so far from the guy who sold it to me...

Hey JC... I'm glad you didn't catch it before me! The guy said that he had some interest and I sort of was hesitating, but ultimately decided I'd actually take car of it and not beat on it. Had you seen it on Craigslist too?

GOOD CATCH MIKE! CONGRATS and 'Welcome Aboard!'
Post pics can be tricky; I USED to know how; now I'm with you...just search on the post and lots of helpful folks here have posted TIPS on how to get it done before. Glad you gave that nice -- and pretty Rare Olds a good home!

Thanks! It needs some details fixed...like the taillight, front headlight bezels, wheel covers and body fillers, but I think I'm pleased! Thanks for your welcome and reassurance I did well! Haha!

Welcome to the forums!
Get in touch with J-(Chicago) for the tail light, trim pieces, and just about anything else. He is the 80s Delta 88 guru.
The filler panels are available as reproduction:

I got mine from there. You may need to enlarge the mounting holes a little, but they work. Good originals are very scarce. They tend to crumble with age.
If you want to stay stock, I have a set of 5 standard wheel covers for your Delta 88. They are in pretty good shape overall.
They look like this:

PM with e-mail address, if interested. I'll send pics.
