Needed help knowing orginal parts

I have had my 2d 1970 cutlass supreme for 7 years. I decided to joined because their aren't to many of these left in this condition so thanks for having me. I wanted to know if someone could tell me what is the length of the original steering column?

[QUOTE=Christopher Isom;1110983]I no longer have the original steering column so I found a steering column off a 69' toronado and I wanted to know if it fits and all the connectors hook up before I buy it.

Toronado is a C body, not A body. You want a column that came out of a 69-72 Cutlass, Chevelle, Skylark, or Pontiac Lemans. They will all fit.

What is wrong with the column in the car now other than it's not the original?

Its a 30 inch custom shift column tilted dash steering column and I'm having so many problems with just connecting all the electrical wires.

Welcome to the group... To avoid unnecessary installation issues use a column form an A-Body as previously suggested...

Yes, GM simultaneously built the RWD Riviera and the FWD Toro and Eldo on the E-body platform.
