mom's 1971 cutlass supreme in L.A.

Howdy all,
I'm just getting back on this forum. I have my mom's 1971 cutlass supreme convertible she bought back in '76.
(350ci/4bbl) I had it as my daily driver until ten years ago, when I had to move back east due to a family illness (and change of career plans) I want to get the car back to a good state of reliability. It's actually really good right now. The issues: Rag top needs replacing, rear window regulators are shot, ugly dent to pull out pf driver's side front fender, reverse lights are gone (rotted out)
At the moment I'm looking into a trailer hitch. I'd like to be able to move a small trailer around. I'd like something very subtle, if not *unseen*. Does anyone have pics or suggestions of particularly good/ddiscreet trailer hitch set-ups?

Any other notes on trailering with one of these?

Welcome back, post some pics when you get a chance. Its great to be able to be the care taker of a family car.

Welcome, We used to tow a 1961 15" Roamer travel trailer with our 71 Cutlass convertible all over. We went to the big Auto show up in St. Ignace Michigan. It is a over the weekend car show. It was so busy that you couldn't get a motel room, so we camped at a primitive campground out of town. Good times. Anyway the old girl pulled the older girl with no problems. Nothing quite like going down the highway with the top down hearing the duals sound bouncing back from the trailer. I still have that trailer hitch. It mounts to the frame so you don't have to drill the bumper. I would sell it for $50.00 plus shipping. PM me if you're interested. Greg

My '71 vert was used by the previous owner to tow a multi-horse trailer, so you shouldn't have any issue at all with a small trailer.

On the topic of trailer hitches, I'm interested in one as well if anyone has one for sale. The one that was on the car when I bought it had two support bars bolted to the bumper, so it went away when I bought the new bumper.

Thanks for the warm welcome! This is going to be great.
I have ti get to work and get caught up with this car. She's reliable, but needs a lot, just to stay ahead of time's jabs.
I think tomorrow we're going to pull the rear triangle vent regulators. One of them the little roller -wheel on which the glass rests has gone wrong, and the glass fell into the well.
The other is stuck in the upper position.
Ho hum. I have to do a lot of less fun stuff on the house.
Take it easy y'all.
