Me and my 48 Olds

Hey guys,

Just started getting into classics, customs and hot rods. I went looking for a my first car and fell in love with a 1948 Olds Club Sedan (or Sedanette).

This sleek two door fastback was just too sweet to pass up. I've always been a GM guy but since I picked up my Olds and started doing some research I've really learned to respect Oldsmobile. So many firsts came from Olds and such a fantastic history!

My car spent a good portion of it's life in a museum. It's not a showpiece but it's a very nice survivor. Although I've been enjoying it as is, I plan to swap the L-head 8 for a 324 Rocket. I picked up a 324 engine and hydramatic transmission from a 55 Olds recently and I'm rebuilding the engine. I plane to swap out the engine and rebuild the L-head once it's out. Then eventually I'll put the L-head back in it's home.

If you'd like to follow the projects we're working on now you can check us out at http://riccabillies.com My friend has a 41 Ford business coupe that we're working on also.

Looking forward to hearing from folks on the forum.
