manual brakes issues

I took the power brake off my car and replaced master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders. I looked up all the parts for a 71 with manual brakes. Now the pedal is hard and the car will not stop in no matter how hard I apply brakes. The car stopped great before. The reason I took the booster off is the motor setup I am running. no vacuum. Any suggestions.

The brake pedal push rod is probably in the wrong place on the brake pedal lever .
There should be another hole in the brake pedal arm above the one you are using .
Mount the push rod end in the upper hole . It gives you more leverage to make up for lack of power assist .
Make sure the pedal is properly adjusted according to the CSM .

From where you bought new master cylinder is it correct for manual brakes?
