Lowering or not. 1966 Cutlass coupe.

Hello
New member from sweden here. I have a 1966 Cutlass coupe with a 455 in it that needs new springs and shocks. The car is to low in the front, I guess they have cutted the front springs. The rear is way to high and the springs is all worn out. I found some pictures of a cutlass like mine with original springs and shocks and liked it. But I also found 1" lowering springs and shocks for sale and now I need some help. Is there someone here witha a car like this and 1" lowering springs on it? It would be nice to see some pictures. If I order the lowering springs what wheel size could I use without having the top of the wheels hidden by the fender if you all know what I mean. Best regards

Welcome to the site, post some pictures of your car when you get a chance. I prefer the lifted look, hopefully some of the others will chime in with some lowered insight.

x2 IMO, the 66 body style looks better raised a bit rather than lowered. They just look faster........

Nice looking car. Are you running with original setup? I think I will have the car little bit higher in rear than front. But as low as it is now I got problem on bad roads and long headers. If I buy orignal dimensions of springs and shocks will I get that look? Found some pictures of a car where the guy had lowered the front 1" and as I understood left the rear original? And also som post of guys mounting hd springs in the rear. Confusing all this..

Beautiful car and colour 64Rocket. Do you mean you have 1" lowering in front and hd in rear? Or stock in rear?
