Looking for a friends Oldsmobile....
A co-worker and friend of mine once owned a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass. He was telling me about that car that he loved so much. He ended up going in the Army back in the 1970's and his parents sold his car! He hasn't seen the car since.
I'm basically seeing if I could find out what happened to it. Here is what I know...
No VIN...(don't have a VIN which makes this difficult)
Car is a 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, originally the car was yellow. He told me the original color was rare, I'm guessing Sunfire Yellow for that model year? It was painted blue when he had it.
Scoops on the hood
Column Shift
350 V-8
Car was involved in an accident. All four corners were banged up, I believe he told me the right rear quarter had to be replaced. As he was fixing it up a bit he went into the Army. His parents then sold the car when he was gone, he didn't really want the car sold though.
Car was sold to a couple in the mid 1970's in Wilmington Delaware.
That's all the information I have. No VIN or pics.

Unfortunately, I would say you have a better chance at winning the lottery. As long as that has been and with no more info the only way you might find it is if somebody reading this post was personally involved. Your friend should just look for a replacement car and redo it the way he wants.
I'm betting on the lottery also. These cars just disappear into the world of used cars and in the shape you describe I'm sorry to say it's probably junked smashed up and is part of a Toyota or a toaster by now. now.....Tedd
