Long member, 1st pic of the 64

Finally posting a picture of the 64 I've worked on for awhile. Factory 4 speed 330 car. Now has a 67 toro 425. Crank was drilled for the stick.

That 425 is a lot of fun in the light weight.

I'm more a mopar guy, so I usually just lurk. I'm not as voiced in Oldsmobiles. But I do have a chevy and a buick also. So it's kind of a melting pot of older cars.

A friend of mine has the twin to that car, in fact I thought it was his under a handle I didn’t recognize. I believe his late dad bought it new.

Thanks guys, she usually just blends in. The 4 speed draws some attention though.

What kind of radiator set up did you use to keep the 425 cool? A 1 year 64 only core support is 3.5 inches shorter in depth than the 65's. Does not give you a lot of options without mods.

Used a 65 442 aluminum rad. Cut and added 2 or 3 inches to the bottom of the rad support. So it sits on top as high as the 64 rad. Lower hose is close to the sway bar, but it clears fine.

I’m a little confused over this picture of a young girl in her underwear standing next to a car?

That is what I was going to do on my build as well using some C channel stock. Thirdcoast- member here bought my car before I got that done and I think he went totally custom on it and did something else.

I like the way you painted the 425 gold and used factory looking brackets, etc. Most people would think it is a stock 330. Really nice. Who was it that had that song that said "Makes me excited, leaves me feeling confused"? Yep.... Love that Plymouth also!

Thanks. The only indication are the little 425 emblems (from a delmont 88 425 model 68) below the cutlass script on the fender. Why olds used the 425 emblem for a delmont 88 model I'll never know.
