Rain water, only leaks after rain. Usually delay leak like rain water needs time to drain to floor.

You have possibly a break in the seal around the windshield. It could also be a clog in the cowl vent drain. These can get clogged with leaves and other debris. Get some forced air and blow it all around the cowl area.

I hate to say this, but more likely is a leak caused by the dreaded and all too common pinchweld rust at the base of the windshield. Remove the stainless trim around the windshield (you'll need a special trim release tool available at most auto parts stores) and inspect. If you're lucky, it's just the butyl rubber seal, but don't hold your breath. In any case, DO NOT simply slather on silicone seal in hopes of fixing it. You won't, and the acetic acid in the silicone will eventually make it worse.
