Hi Jim and welcome to C.O.
Very nice looking car and engine build so far. Just curious about something. Your pic shows the 442 emblems on the fender and what appears to be W-30 badging underneath?? W30's were 455/400 cars. Did someone clone the car before you bought it?

Welcome aboard
Very nice car! It looks like it's been down the 1320 a time or 2. Yes more pics would be awesome! What part of Florida are you from?
Allan you know that once the W30's became desirable back in the day that everybody and their brother done this to their cars and are still doing it today. There are more W30's out there now than were made
And with Oldsmobiles, it's not a clone it is a tribute
*As long as they are not trying to pass it of as a true one* Heck, my Grandfather even had the dealership do it to mine when the factory wouldn't before he would even drive it home.

Wow Jim you just about nailed my plans for the engine in my car. I do not know much about the internals yet. I have it out of the car and plan to pull it apart for inspection and a reveal in the next couple of weeks. Mine is a 1970 with 6 heads. It has a performer with 600 cfm edelbrock. Not sure of the cam or pistons. It was pretty quick before I pulled it. I have been looking at your cam and converter combo. Curious about how it works with your brakes? In town drivability? I plan to do a little bowl blending of the heads and a comp valve job while it is apart. Not sure about headers. I would like to keep it as stock looking as possible.
any ideas on a good spot for the msd.i agree the wires are a mess.it think in the long run the rubbing will take its toll.the converter and cam combo works real good on the street.but it loves the highway.pulls strong up till about 6.the brakes with the can and idle at 1100.works fine.with out .clean change of pants needed.

Not good! Or for the engine running smooth.
