Just discovered ClassicOldsmobile - hello all!
Good morning all:
I am the "Moderator East" of the GM Skywagon Club, and am slowly restoring the third '69 Vista Cruiser that I have owned since 1982. It resides in my mom's garage near Hershey, PA, and carries the VIN 348559M271522.
I bought this rusty car from the original owner in March 2005, but the inspection sticker that was on the windshield at the time expired in July 1990. Apparently, this car has been off the road for 20 years, and the odometer shows 67K, which I have strong reason to believe is original.
The GM Skywagon Club is a dues-free, Internet-based club that uses the Vista Cruiser YahooGroup as its main discussion board.
I've also owned a 1980 Cutlass Supreme coupe and a 1959 Olds 98 Holiday SportSedan. I once lived in a former hometown of Hurst Performance, and got an all-Oldsmobile phone number when I lived there, which I kept as my cell phone number. Hurst could have had that number if they had stayed there, since Warminster, PA is partially served by the (215) 442 exchange!
I haven't been able to upload an avatar or a signature, so I'll manually do my signature below my name.

"You're never a loser when you and your car are both a Vista Cruiser!"

Have you checked out the Vista Cruiser group on Yahoo yet? We're a lively bunch, and my co-moderator Warren & I aren't "on-topic *****", which has led to a lot of real-life friendships.

James - thanks! However, I cringe to read your signature, where it says that the Hurst burned to a crisp.

Skywagons rule! though I've never owned one, but I am a long-time big wagon owner. Currently on my 3rd 80s B wagon and there were 72 and 76 Custom Cruisers and a 67 BelAir 9-passenger wagon before that. I find them to be exceptional daily drivers. Heh- I was driving wagons before they became cool!

We started with just the '64-'72 Vista Cruiser and later added the '64-'69 Buick SportWagon. Our club now also honors the '91-'92 Custom Cruiser as well as the '91-'96 Buick Roadmaster Estate wagons, and we also welcome the '73-'77 Vistas and the later flattop SportWagons.
I found my first '69 Vista in December 1982, a month before my 19th birthday, and bought it from the original owner for $150. (All 3 of my '69s were bought from their original owners)
