Introducing myself
Hey folks, I'm Troy, a 45 year old, Canadian, truck and coach/automotive mechanic. I first saw this 1957 Super 88 back in 1991 when I started dating my ex-wife, her Dad had bought this in the mid 70's and stored it away, vowing to never sell it, as he was gonna fix it up "some day"...I loved the body lines...never has a vehicle stuck in the back of my mind like this one. I saw so much potential in what this thing could look like. Fast forward 23 years, now divorced, the ex-father in-law passed away years ago, and the family finally decided to let 'er go. Sick of working on everyone elses cars and dreams...gonna start working on my own.
I will be asking lots of dumb questions as I have been mostly involved with the muscle car era, these 50's cars are quite foreign to me.....so, please bear with me,lol

I think you will enjoy your car from the 50's. There is just a certain romance with the 50's cars. I never drove them when I was young and love my 54. As Tedd said, the 57 is a one year car and one of my favorites. Please post more pictures. And by the way, Welcome.

Welcome Troybob from another Canadian on this forum. Where in Canada do you call home?
Good to see that you kept an eye on the car and were there when the family decided to sell it.
We have several members from the Great White North with 57s on here and some that aren't.
